Privacy Policy

By using the Preppable platform, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Preppable, Inc. ("Preppable", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information during your participation in the Private Preview of the Preppable platform (the "Preview").

By using the platform, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information during your use of the Preview:

  • Account Information: such as your email address and any name or identifier you provide
  • Google Account Information: If you choose to sign in with Google, we collect:
    • Your primary Google Account email address (auth/userinfo.email)
    • Your personal information from your Google profile, including any personal info you've made publicly available (auth/userinfo.profile)
    • Information to associate you with your personal info on Google (openid)
  • Usage Data: interactions with the platform (e.g., time spent, clicks, feature use)
  • Feedback and Submissions: written feedback, suggestions, and code or answers you provide
  • Technical Information: browser type, device information, error logs, and crash reports
  • Geolocation: if you provide it, we may store your location data for the purpose of providing location-based features or improving the platform

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account: We use your Google account information (name and email address) to create and maintain your Preppable account
  • Operate and maintain the platform
  • Analyze usage and performance
  • Identify and fix bugs
  • Improve product features and user experience
  • Communicate with you: We may use your email address to contact you about your account, important updates about the Preview, and to share information about our products and features
  • Share anonymized testimonials or feedback publicly, anonymized, or with your consent

3. Data Storage and Retention

We store data on secure servers hosted by third-party providers.

  • We retain identifiable data only while your account is active.
  • If you delete your account, we delete your personal information and retain only anonymized, non-identifiable data for analytics and performance tracking.

4. Third-Party Services

We may use trusted third-party services to provide parts of the platform or analyze performance.

Google Authentication: When you sign in with Google, your authentication is handled by Google's services. We receive the information described in Section 1 above (email address and profile information) to create and manage your account. Google's use of your information is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Advertising and measurement: We advertise on third-party platforms (currently Meta) and need to know which ads actually lead to signups. To measure that, we share a scrambled ("hashed") version of your email address with those platforms, along with limited technical information such as your IP address, browser user agent, and the page you were on. Hashing is one-way, so the platform cannot read your address from it, and we do not share the address itself for this purpose.

If you decline cookies, or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we mark this data so our advertising partners handle it under limited-use terms. You can also control ad personalization directly with those platforms, and you can contact us using Section 6 below with any request about this data.

Email delivery: We use SendGrid to send account emails and, if you have given us your address, occasional product and blog updates. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

Other third-party providers may have access to anonymized or technical data as needed to perform their services. They are bound by their own privacy and security policies.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

If you are located in the European Union or similar jurisdictions, we process your data under the following legal bases:

  • Legitimate interest – to operate and improve the platform
  • Performance of a contract – to provide you access to the Preview under our Terms
  • Consent – for publishing testimonials or displaying optional user-submitted content, and for the advertising measurement described in Section 4

6. Your Rights

During the private preview, user accounts are managed internally. If you have questions about your data or wish to delete your account, please contact us at:

privacy@preppable.io

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or through the platform. Continued use of the platform after notice constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
